During the weekend, we had an email from a friend who, for the purpose of confidentiality, must remain genderless. Our friend is planning a spousal surprise, to celebrate a milestone birthday. A cruise, their first. Where to go? Which line? Which ship? How long?
You know what happens when you make recommendations, for cruises or concerts or coffee houses. The sea is rough. The band’s too loud. The coffee’s too strong. And it’s always your fault, or feels like it.
Well, we know a little about the taste of our friends. They like music and entertainment. They like being casual. They like flexibility.
Coincidentally, we received news of a cruise promotion yesterday, between innings of the ball game we were watching. It was from Norwegian, something called a “Freestyle Dash” that starts tomorrow. Special savings. Up to $250 to spend on the ship. Reduced deposits. Spa treatments, etc…you can check them out at NCL’s website.
For us, the fit was perfect. Norwegian’s freestyle atmosphere is casual and flexible. There’s lots of entertainment, especially on the Epic. The email back to our friend reflected our…ouch, recommendation.
But don’t tell the spouse, okay?
