Economy Moves Carnival in Europe

With all the reports about Europe's economy over the past couple of years, it was only a matter of time before it showed up in cruising.

Cruise lines can run from the facts but they can't hide…and not just because their revenue generators weigh thousands of tons and carry around whole towns of people.

Enter Carnival.

Five European cruises have been cancelled for the Carnival Legend. Now, when cruise lines take drastic economic steps like these, they don't do it for next week or next month. It's next year, earliest.

The Mediterranean cruises were scheduled for a two-month period beginning in late September 2013. So instead of heading for somewhere like Casablanca, the Legend will leave England for New York on September 25th and go on to spend two months in the Caribbean.

For both passengers and cruise lines, when all is said and done with where to be on a ship, there's still nothing as dependable as a Caribbean cruise, is there?
