About the Allure of Kate's 8…

Having never watched one minute of one episode of Kate Plus 8, nor any of its iterations, we’re completely on the fence about whether it’s a good idea for Royal Caribbean to promote a cruise with Kate Gosselin.

Evidently, others are not.

Here’s a sampling of headlines emanating from the buzz created by Royal Caribbean:

Evidently, most fall on the negative side of the fence.

For the record, the mother of eight made famous by television will be on Allure of the Seas for the August 12 sailing, for a week. During that time, while the ship is stopping in Labadee, Falmouth (Jamaica) and Cozumel, Kate will be hosting a cocktail party, barbecue, brunch and charity dinner. She’ll be available for photo ops. Oh yes…and she’ll be signing copies of her almost-2-year-old book. No word as to how many of the 8 will be with her, but if you’re into child-sitting…

The tab (excluding the book) starts at $1,900 for two people…a junior suite is $3,175. If you’re interested, Luxury Cruises and Tours is the agent.

This isn’t to say it’s a bad idea. It just seems like one.
