This Man's Name is Not 'Art'

All you really need to know about Bob and art is this:

Many years ago our family went on a cultural adventure by visiting the world’s most famous art museum, Le Louvre in Paris, and he and the kids were in and out in approximately nine minutes.
So when we are invited to an Old and Modern Auction, as we were last week on the Celebrity Millennium, I have a tough sell. For example, there was a contest at this auction. You were asked to guess the cost of a Picasso that was on display.

Bob’s response: “Never mind that they give you a hint, somewhere between $100 and $100,000, imagine if you buy it and have to explain to your grandchildren that those people aren’t exactly doing high-fives.”

The list of artists whose works were on display was impressive, as Park West displays always are: Chagali, Rembrandt, Peter Max, Yaacov Agam and Anatole Krasnyansky, plus Pablo Picasso, of course. This made no impact on Bob, although I must admit he has come a long way since that visit to Le Louvre because he does kind of like Monet.

I’m just not sure if it’s the artist, or if he just likes the sound of what he needs to pay for his next green fee.

That’s it…I’m done.
