Is Everyone Going to Europe?

Europe, anyone? It’s certainly on our cruising horizon and now it appears there is going to be more availability than ever.
This month, Holland America announced that in 2011 it will have seven ships in Europe. That comes on the heels of Disney’s plans to stick a toe in European waters this summer, and next year with the Disney Dream.
There’s another blockbuster in the fleet assembling across the Atlantic. Norwegian’s biggest ship, the Epic, will be based in Europe next year — and the Epic IS epic, with accommodations for 4,200 passengers.
With prices reportedly starting at $699 for 7-day cruises, the Epic will sail the Western Mediterranean, docking at these ports: Livorno (Florence, Pisa), Civitavecchia (Rome), Naples and Palma (Majorca).
Fun on the Disney Dream in 2011 includes a miniature golf course with Goofy, Donald, etc., as course consultants. Surely, being in Europe, one hole will have a windmill!
That’s it, we’re done.
