No cruise line tries to cover both ends of the age spectrum more than Norwegian. Last week, we told you that NCL is offering discounts for AARP members…now kids go free on NCL shore excursions.
There is an asterisk (*), as there often is with offers of any kind of any product.
In NCL's case, the free shore excursions for kids apply everywhere NCL sails, on all ships, but bookings have to be made by May 13 and there is a few exclusions (flight tours, golf). Since the news first broke, travel agents are reporting brisk sales.
The other * is that kids are defined as being 12 years or younger. That always worked in our house — ever trying calling a teenager a "kid"? And they have to be staying in your state room, another reason for teenagers not wanting to be called kids.
NCL itself is a kid…billing itself as the youngest fleet on the seas, and we know people who are — like Norwegian — 46 years old and would appreciate being called young. But then everything is relative, isn't it?
Even free shore excursions. Remember the asterisks (*).
