Here’s a trivia question about cruise ships for you and, so far, there is no answer: How long will it be until the latest cruise-ship rescue is on YouTube?
Answer: Keep watching.
The rescue took place on Saturday. A boat with three men and a cat (no, not a baby) sent a distress call on Saturday afternoon, 12 miles off the coast of Cuba. No, it’s not what you’re thinking. The Carnival Valor responded to the call, plucked the three men and a cat off the small craft and took them home to Florida.
The three left Naples on Thursday and were heading for the Yucatan Peninsula. The Valor was going the other direction, and after the rescue was complete, arrived on time in Miami. The small craft, disabled when a rope became entangled in a propeller, was left behind…along with a lot of personal belongings, since the boat was its owner’s home.
So what about YouTube? One of the Valor’s passengers taped the rescue.
Today? Tomorrow?
