The Story of a Hurricane and People

We came across a fascinating cruising story a few days ago. It was written by Hardy Jones, Executive Editor of BlueVoice.org and it appeared on Huffington Post’s website. The story was a couple of weeks old by the time we saw it. We think it’s worth reading.

It goes back to Hurricane Tomas, which ripped into the Caribbean island of St. Lucia in late October. It was the most damaging hurricane of the season, in a part of the world populated by cruise ships.

This is the story of a hurricane, some of the people most devastated by it, and some of the people who responded in a very real way.
