You know how it is in families with three or four kids. The first-born is always the “special one” in the eyes of his or her siblings. They always think the first-born gets “the most” — whatever the most is. Now here comes MSC Cruises with a unique offer:

This raises a problem in our family. Our first-born arrived on November 29. He could qualify. But don’t tell his brother and sister!
There’s a contingency. The birthday boy (or girl) has to be there with you, paying $529 or more. Both have to pay government fees and taxes. Small price? Perhaps, if your MSC birthday present is $529 and, on the surface, it is.
However, you may find 7-day Caribbean cruises that are competitive or even cheaper. In fact, dig around MSC’s website and you’ll find a last-minute offer for a 7-night cruise on the birthday ship, the Poesia, for either $349 or $399 per person. Fees and taxes have to be added there, too.
And hey, they don’t get a birthday cake!
