For the 2014 edition of BTC, they&#8217;re hoping to have a Beatle, or two. Since there are only two, that means they&#8217;re hoping to convince <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paulmccartney.com\/mccartney\/usd.php\">Paul McCartney<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ringostarr.com\/index\/home\/\">Ringo Starr<\/a> to spend seven days on a cruise ships with 1,500 or so (screaming) fans.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-8879\" href=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/2011\/07\/mccartney-starr-invited-cruise\/mccartney-241\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8879\" title=\"McCartney-241\" src=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/McCartney-241-e1311289611969.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"190\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-8880\" href=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/2011\/07\/mccartney-starr-invited-cruise\/ringo-starr-261\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-8880\" title=\"Ringo Starr-261\" src=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/Ringo-Starr-261-e1311289649676.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"228\" \/><\/a>And what would they give these two survivors to convince them to get on board?<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Basically anything they wanted,&#8221; promoter Woody Lifton told <a href=\"http:\/\/www.examiner.com\/\">examiner.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Designed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Beatles&#8217; arrival in North America (and appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show), the &#8220;enhanced&#8221; BTC would provide Paul and Ringo with the ultimate security on a ship of ultimate luxury. BTC says organizers have cruise lines coming to them already, and that was before the Real Beatles idea surfaced.<\/p>\n<p>And they would perform?<\/p>\n<p>Lifton said it would be up to them. Whatever the Beatles wanted.<\/p>\n<p>A better bet might be to convince (gently) McCartney and Starr to do what <a href=\"http:\/\/www.taylorswift.com\/\">Taylor Swift<\/a> did last year, board a ship in port (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.islacozumel.com.mx\/\">Cozumel<\/a>) and entertain only the passengers at a one-show-only event, so that the celebrities spend just a few hours surrounded by (screaming) fans.<\/p>\n<p>The next <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beatlestributecruise.com\/itinerary.htm\">Beatles Tribute Cruise<\/a> is in February, on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oasisoftheseas.com\">Oasis of the Seas<\/a>, from <a href=\"http:\/\/ci.ftlaud.fl.us\/\">Fort Lauderdale<\/a>. As the world&#8217;s largest cruise ship \u001f\u2014 along with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.allureoftheseas.com\">Allure of the Seas<\/a> \u2014 that would make sense but by no means be a given.<\/p>\n<p>And what would BTC charge passengers for this unique event?<\/p>\n<p>Whatever they want.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The people who run Beatles Tribute Cruises are, if nothing else, ambitious.
