His name is Ryan McNaught and when he put a quarter of a million little Lego pieces together he produced a remarkable model of TV&#8217;s most famous ship.<\/p>\n<p>He is from Australia and a few weeks ago he took his masterpiece all the way to Chicago, <a rel=\"attachment wp-att-8792\" href=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/2011\/07\/lego-love-boat-gavin-macleod\/love-boat-captains-400\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8792\" title=\"Love Boat captains-400\" src=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/Love-Boat-captains-400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"351\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a>by sea of course, for the annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brothers-brick.com\/2011\/06\/20\/brickworld-2011-wrap-up\/\">Brickworld Convention<\/a>, where people who have no life\u2026er, wonderful skills\u2026gather to compare Lego abilities. For the occasion, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.princess.com\/index.html\">Princess<\/a> (the Love Boat was the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.princess.com\/learn\/ships\/pa\/index.html\">Pacific Princess<\/a>) brought in the TV captain, actor Gavin MacLeod, or Captain Stubing.<\/p>\n<p>It was more than a nice touch. It was also a nice surprise to Ryan McNaught, whose encounter with the captain was posted on YouTube.
