And they get attached to individual ships.<\/p>\n<p>When one disappears, it&#8217;s like losing an old friend.<\/p>\n<p>Well, one old friend is soon to disappear. Perhaps even get an assumed name. Go into witness protection.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.celebritycruises.com\/plancruise\/ships\/ship.do;jsessionid=000045nzVqfOZFsHNOCgebwkDjt:12hdebebp?shipCode=CN\">Celebrity Century&#8217;s<\/a> days are numbered. For passengers loyal to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.celebritycruises.com\/home.do\">Celebrity<\/a>, this will be the end of an era. The line&#8217;s oldest ship, it was first in its class. In fact, the class of three was named after it.<\/p>\n<p>Nobody is saying it out loud just yet, but the 16-year-old Century is expected to be sold, even though she has itineraries booked for the next 18 months. These things don&#8217;t happen overnight. When it does happen, the Century class will be gone, leaving Celebrity with a fleet of Millennium-Class and Solstice-Class ships.<\/p>\n<p>Insiders say it&#8217;s likely to happen sometime next year. By then, it will be the worst-kept secret in cruising. Once the new Solstice-Class vessel arrives, it probably will be time for ol&#8217; Century to go.
