We had a call on the weekend, from an unimpeachable source, telling us that a cruise ship is being used as a movie set. This in itself is not a big deal, except that nobody seems to know much about this movie, including that part of it will be filmed on a luxury cruise ship.<\/p>\n

The movie is called Chipwrecked.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>What is known about Chipwrecked is that it is:
\n\u2022 being released December 16
\n\u2022 all about Alvin and the Chipmunks<\/a>
\n\u2022 the third Chipmunks movie, succeeding the Squeakquel
\n\u2022 being directed by Mike Mitchell, who also directed Shrek Forever After
\n\u2022 a 20th Century Fox production<\/p>\n

Then there are the rumors. Chipwrecked stars Justin Long, Jesse McCartney<\/a>, Matthew Gray Gubler<\/a> and Anna Faris. Or else it stars Amy Poehler, Jesse McCartney and Ben Burtt.<\/p>\n

That’s the word on the street. Or on the web. And there are no rumors about which ship.<\/p>\n

Extensive research (a few clicks of the mouse) uncovered the movie’s plot (according to movieinsider.com<\/a>). Alvin and friends (Chipmunks, Chipettes) turn the ship into their personal playground until they’re “chipwrecked” on a deserted island that has more than them as castaways.<\/p>\n
