makes it a little more Irish) so it has to be good\u2026 Uncomplicated and spacious.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Garden Cafe:<\/strong> Great selection for all meals at all times\u2026The main buffet, quality food, some of it prepared while you wait\u2026A special favorite of Captain Trygve Vorren, who is always amazed by it\u2026Busy, but never seems over-crowded, so it&#8217;s fairly easy to find tables, not always the case on cruise ships.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-4802\" href=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/2010\/11\/norwegian-epic-restaurants\/epic-teppenakis-1\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4802\" title=\"Epic-Teppenakis-1\" src=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/Epic-Teppenakis-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"217\" height=\"377\" \/><\/a>Teppanyaki:<\/strong> Really, really loud\u2026A deterrent for some\u2026Chef  Michael (left) from the Philippines is very entertaining\u2026Best food on the ship that isn&#8217;t in the penthouses and  fun atmosphere make $25 cover charge acceptable\u2026Not for romantic  dinner, best for groups of eight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Moderno Churrascaria:<\/strong> Brazilian meat was good, not spectacular\u2026A little noisy, yet fun atmosphere&#8230;Large rectangular tables are not great because &#8220;sides&#8221; are in the middle, and not everyone can reach\u2026Feels a bit disorganized\u2026OK value at $18, but you better love red meat and chicken!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Manhattan Room: <\/strong>No cover charge, excellent food, straightforward menu, best value (duh!)\u2026Terrific bread pudding\u2026Traditional diners who liked all-inclusive cruise concept love this room\u2026Dance floor, supper club with a taste of the Legends In Concert that doesn&#8217;t really work\u2026A slightly raised stage would help, but they&#8217;re a little loud for &#8220;dinner music.&#8221;<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Shanghai: <\/strong>Upscale Chinese\u2026Outstanding, tasty food, good  atmosphere, exceptional service\u2026Does that make it worth $15 per  person?\u2026For us, yes\u2026Skip the green tea ice cream, which is bland but  when was green tea ever full of flavor?\u2026Almost everything else was.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-4805\" href=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/2010\/11\/norwegian-epic-restaurants\/la-cucina-300\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4805 alignright\" title=\"La Cucina-300\" src=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/La-Cucina-300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"418\" \/><\/a>La Cucina:<\/strong> A $10 cover charge \u2026Traditional Italian decor, Tuscan style eatery\u2026Loved pasta and meatballs, but chicken parmesan just ok\u2026Unusual back door for wheelchair access because front entrance is all stairs\u2026Great quiet spot to take breakfast from Garden Cafe because it&#8217;s open for overflow and that&#8217;s the best-kept secret on the ship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Taste:<\/strong> Contemporary, peaceful and Taste-ful place for breakfast, lunch or dinner&#8230;No cover\u2026Good food, especially the corn chowder\u2026Mediocre cobb salad, average fish and chips\u2026Nice break from the buffet line\u2026Has the feel of an upscale restaurant.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Atrium:<\/strong> A snack place, as if cruisers ever NEED snacks\u2026Exotic coffees charged to room, but $2.50 for a good cappuccino beats Starbucks for value\u2026Pastries, breads, salads easy to take back to the room, where you can feel less guilty about snacking.<\/p>\n<p>There are even more but we ran out of appetite.<\/p>\n<p>Hey, somebody has to do it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s what you need to know (or what we&#8217;d like to share with you) about the places to eat on the Norwegian Epic\u2026 O&#8217;Sheehan&#8217;s: A pub, also a nice spot to enjoy a somewhat-limited breakfast with great service and hot (if you can believe it!) toast\u2026Named after the company President and CEO Kevin Sheehan (the&hellip;
