\"\"<\/a>This will be our first time on the Navigator of the Seas. Many years ago, Nancy requested that I be “her driver.” I think she said something about being Miss Daisy. I agreed, on the condition that she be the navigator. So here we are, on a ship named after her kind of people, so it’s only right that I play this navigator angle for all it’s worth.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the navigator will be despatched to perform specific activities aboard the Navigator of the Seas<\/a>, the fifth of Royal Caribbean’s <\/a>Voyageur-class vessels. These are all activities for the “younger set” and since she’s always been keen on pointing out she is younger than me, it makes a lot of sense.<\/p>\n

They have an ice-skating rink and, even though she is Canadian-born, this wasn’t one of her things to learn. It’s time.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

There’s a rock-climbing wall. I can hear the kids laughing already about watching her do this one. I’ll take pictures. It’s just 40 feet high.<\/p>\n

The Navigator also has an in-line skating track. Same as ice skating, only on wheels. Once she gets the hang of the ice skating, she’ll love it.<\/p>\n

For five days, that’s probably enough. While she’s busy doing her activities, I’ll be busy with mine. She’ll either be able to find me at Vintages, the ship’s wine bar where you can taste wines not usually found on cruise ships, or at the 19th Hole Club, the local sports bar where I can catch up on what’s happening in the athletic world.<\/p>\n

Other than her athletic world, that is.<\/p>\n

I just hope she doesn’t get any ideas about having me be the driver…of the ship. I’m safe. It weighs 138,000 tons and I don’t drive anything that’s six figures.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
