Today, the healing process is such that Westerners are regularly making Vietnam part of their next cruise vacation.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amawaterways.com\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amawaterways.com\">AMA Waterways<\/a> has announced it is adding a new ship to the river cruise fleet in Vietnam and Cambodia. It\u2019s still the ship with no name, but it will launch in 2011 and operate seven-day cruises between Ho Chi Minh City and Siem Reap.<a href=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/Warremnants.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-220\" title=\"Warremnants\" src=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/Warremnants.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"171\" height=\"138\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Among the things to do in today\u2019s Vietnam: tours of the big three cities (Hanoi, Saigon, Ho Chi Minh), visiting the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tourism.hochiminhcity.gov.vn\/english\/chuyenmuc\/default_column_action.php?subcolumn_id=19&amp;column_id=4&amp;current_page=1\">War Remnants Museum<\/a>, and navigating a network of tunnels once used by the Viet Cong.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Sure beats boating on the Mekong River clutching an AK-47, doesn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">That&#8217;s it, we&#8217;re done.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s not that many years ago that Hanoi, Viet Cong and Ho Chi Minh were all 4-letter words around the western world, but time does heal the wounds ravaged by wars like the protracted one in Vietnam that dominated headlines through the sixties.
