The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rssc.com\/seven-seas-explorer\/\">Explorer<\/a> will become Regent\u2019s poster child for luxury, according to parent CEO Frank Del Rio, who said the Explorer will be \u201cthe most luxurious cruise ship ever built, boasting one of the highest space ratios and staff-to-guest ratios ever seen in the modern era of cruising.&#8221;<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Launch date:<\/b> July 20<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Capacity:<\/b> 738<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Sister ships:<\/b> None<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Maiden voyage:<\/b> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.monte-carlo.mc\/\">Monte Carlo<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.comune.venezia.it\/flex\/cm\/pages\/ServeBLOB.php\/L\/EN\/IDPagina\/1\">Venice<\/a> (14 nights)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Home port:<\/b> None <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Ships then in Regent Seven Seas fleet:<\/b> 4<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Interesting:<\/b> The Explorer, physically, is about 15 per cent bigger than the fleet\u2019s largest ship, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rssc.com\/ships\/seven_seas_mariner\/\">Seven Seas Mariner<\/a>, which years ago became the first all-balcony, all-suite cruise ship in the world. However, Explorer will carry only 38 more passengers (738) and will display luxury at every turn: exotic stones and polished woods in its design, six gourmet restaurants, a <em>Culinary Arts Kitchen<\/em> that mirrors world-renowned French cooking schools, and wine-and-food <em>Gourmet Explorer Tours<\/em> in the south of France that can run as high as $799 per person.
