When you get really old, the saying goes, you don't buy green bananas…and not because you're afraid of slipping on one.<\/span><\/p>\n

How old is really old?<\/p>\n

Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, is two months away from his 93rd birthday and most recently made a few headlines by being hospitalized, not an unusual occurrence \"Royal<\/a>for a man of his vintage. None of this keeps the Duke from making plans. In three weeks, he intends to attend the 10th anniversary of Cunard's Queen Mary 2<\/a> in Southampton<\/a>, proving that (a) Elizabeth is not the only Queen in his life, and (b) he is not about to roll over just because he's in his nineties.<\/p>\n

Queen Mary 2 is the flagship for Cunard<\/a>, and has been for a decade. Since then, she has crossed the Atlantic more than 200 times, visited 182 ports in 60 countries and been home on the water for over 1.3 million passengers.<\/p>\n

The ship was christened by Queen Elizabeth<\/a> — that would be Prince Philip's wife of 67 years — and he was there, naturally, for the occasion.<\/p>\n

But then he was only 83. Clearly, it was safe for him to buy green bananas.<\/p>\n
