Specifically, who&#39;s writing for <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oceaniacruises.com\/default.aspx\" style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">Oceania Cruises<\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">In a press release we received this week, to promote 2-for-1 fares with free airfare on Holy Lands cruises on either the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oceaniacruises.com\/ships\/riviera\/default.aspx\">Riviera<\/a> (May 2014) or the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oceaniacruises.com\/ships\/insignia\/default.aspx\">Insignia<\/a> (June 2014), it reads as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">&quot;Before the time of Anno Domini, a collection of seven wonders enthralled travelers of the ancient world. While all but one no longer exists, just one of these wonders has the distinction of having been twice built and twice destroyed. First burned and <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Temple-of-Artemis-copy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Temple of Artemis\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19451\" height=\"179\" src=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Temple-of-Artemis-copy.jpg\" width=\"832\" \/><\/a><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">later plundered, remaining relics for the goddess were uncovered by archaeologists of the mid-18th century. Which wonder of the ancient world is this?&quot;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">We&#39;ll save you the trouble of going to find out &mdash; it&#39;s <i>The Temple of Artemis<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Naturally, Oceania has a ship that goes close enough (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ephesus.us\/\">Ephesus<\/a>) that you can skip over to see the remains of Artemis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Now, technically, Oceania&#39;s statement is correct. there is only one of the original <i>Seven Wonders of the World<\/i> left. But it&#39;s not the <i>Temple of Artemis<\/i>, which is the impression you get when giving the promotion a quick read. It sounds like you&#39;re going to see the only remaining original Wonder, doesn&#39;t it?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">The Temple was destroyed for the second (some say third) and final time 16 centuries ago&hellip;401 AD. Oceania shows a photo of its &quot;remains&quot; yet in <a href=\"http:\/\/istanbulturkey.ca\/\">Istanbul<\/a> there is a replica of the Temple of Artemis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Ironically, that&#39;s the departure port for the two Oceania ships on their Holy Land cruises.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">The only surviving Seventh Wonder?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">It&#39;s <i>The Pyramids<\/i>, in Egypt.
