Have you ever considering flying down the tube they call a water slide at breakneck speed so that you can hit the water faster than your son, daughter, spouse…fill in the blanks?<\/span><\/p>\n

You haven't.<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, that makes three of us. However, the majority of cruise passengers just may be <\/span>\"\"<\/a>interested in such pre-chiropractic exercises. That's what Carnival<\/a> believes, and you'd have to think the cruise line wouldn't take a ship out of circulation for seven weeks and spend $155 million upgrading it just on spec.<\/span><\/p>\n

When the Destiny<\/a> comes out of the shipyard next spring as the Sunshine<\/a>, it will have a 235-foot chute that you can slide down faster than the speed of water. The water slide is called Speedway Splash<\/em> and your time will be tracked on a scoreboard for all to see. <\/span><\/p>\n

You can make a game of it and send the loser (assuming it's not you) out to test the Twister<\/em>, which is 100 feet longer and takes you out over the edge of the ship before making a sharp turn to get back. This is all part of the next stage of Fun Ship 2.0<\/em>, the enhancement program Carnival will extend to all 25 of its ships.<\/span><\/p>\n

That's right…fun.<\/span><\/p>\n
