{"id":14564,"date":"2012-10-01T01:00:59","date_gmt":"2012-10-01T08:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/?p=14564"},"modified":"2012-10-01T01:00:59","modified_gmt":"2012-10-01T08:00:59","slug":"monday-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vitaluna.net\/?p=14564","title":{"rendered":"Cruise crew &#039;Seafarer of the Year&#039;&#8230;?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Even if there is a legitimate case for the <em>Seafarer of the Year<\/em> award for 2012, it can only be categorized as strange or even bizarre.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">And the winner is&#8230;the crew of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.costacruise.com\/usa\/costa_concordia.html\">Costa Concordia<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">The award is given by Lloyd&#39;s List, the leading daily newspaper for the maritime industry, and the announcement was made by Costa, looking for any port in a storm when it comes to public relations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">The Concordia is still resting on its starboard side in water off the Italian island of Giglio <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/2012\/10\/monday-8\/concordia-4pp\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-14580\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-14580\" height=\"304\" src=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Concordia-4pp.jpg\" title=\"The ill-fated Costa Concordia\" width=\"650\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color:#000000;\">and is a constant and grim reminder of the 32 people who perished that night.
