Princess is installing batting cages on cruise ships, or at least on the Royal Princess<\/a> when it makes its maiden voyage 11 months from now. It's all part of an emphasis on fitness, The "outdoor sports zone" on the top deck of the new Princess ship will also have something to offer bocce players, basketball and volleyball players, golfers and tennis players. It's all strategically located at the stern of the ship, close to the indoor fitness center, the stationary bikes that allow you to mimic the Tour de France, and the spa. Princess plans are to focus on "wellness, health and nutrition" with the perfect combination of everything for all exercise levels.<\/p>\n But really, it's all about the line drives.<\/p>\n I've hit golf balls on cruise ships (no, not off) but never baseballs. And if the batting cage is set up right, you'll actually be able to visualize hitting singles and doubles, at least.
