No cruise line tries to cover both ends of the age spectrum more than Norwegian<\/a>. Last week, we told you that NCL is offering discounts for AARP<\/a> members…now kids go free on NCL shore excursions.<\/p>\n

There is an asterisk (*), as there often is with offers of any kind of any product.<\/p>\n

In NCL's case, the free shore excursions for kids apply everywhere NCL sails, on all ships, but bookings have to be made by May 13 and there is a few exclusions (flight tours, golf). Since the news first broke, travel agents are reporting brisk sales.<\/p>\n

The other * is that kids are defined as being 12 years or younger. That always worked in our house — ever trying calling a teenager a "kid"? And they have to be staying in your state room, another reason for teenagers not wanting to be called kids.<\/p>\n

NCL itself is a kid…billing itself as the youngest fleet on the seas, and we know people who are — like Norwegian — 46 years old and would appreciate being called young. But then everything is relative, isn't it?<\/p>\n
