Disney never misses an opportunity to recruit Mouseketeer lovers of the future, nor an <a href=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/2012\/03\/boys-and-girls-and-disney-together-again\/disney-bgc\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11494\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-11494\" height=\"272\" src=\"http:\/\/cruisingdoneright.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Disney-BGC.jpg\" title=\"Disney-B&amp;GC\" width=\"350\" \/><\/a>opportunity to prove its reputation as a good corporate citizen always concerned about trying to help disadvantaged kids.<\/p>\n<p>2. Disney is merely honoring its tradition. More than half a century ago, Walt himself was made an honorary member of the B&amp;GC&#39;s national board of directors. That sealed the relationship between Disney and the Club, in perpetuity.<\/p>\n<p>3. Disney thought it seemed like a nice PR move to coincide with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.portcanaveral.com\/cruising\/cruising.php\">Port Canaveral<\/a> arrival of its newest ship, the <a href=\"http:\/\/disneycruise.disney.go.com\/ships-activities\/ships\/fantasy\/\">Fantasy<\/a>, because &mdash; after all &mdash; the ship is a place &quot;where imagination comes alive.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>4. Even Disney is being affected by tough economic times. A year ago, coinciding with the launch of the <a href=\"http:\/\/disneycruise.disney.go.com\/ships-activities\/ships\/dream\/\">Disney Dream<\/a>, a benefit cruise was used to raise funds for the B&amp;GC.
