\"\"<\/a>It’s finally happened. All 16 Princess<\/a> ships have piazza and pizza, and it’s a good thing the cruise line has competent proof readers.<\/p>\n

The Sapphire Princess<\/a> is now out of dry-dock and on a Hawaiian vacation. It has a new Piazza Atrium, and it also has Alfredo’s Pizzeria. Anybody who has ever been on a Princess ship knows how important (aka, delicious) the pizza is.<\/p>\n

This was the final refurbishment of the Princess fleet and, yes, there was more to it than piazza and pizza. The Sapphire Princess also has a giant screen for watching movies under the stars…a modern-day drive-in theater on water. It has a place called The Sanctuary, an oasis of serenity for adult passengers wishing to escape the chaos of pools and pubs.<\/p>\n

And it has the usual cosmetic improvements \u2014 carpets, tiles, flat-screen TVs, etc. \u2014 that bring this 18-year-old into step with its more modern competitors. Even at that age, only three Princess ships are newer (Crown,<\/a> Emerald,<\/a> Ruby<\/a>), which is probably Princess will welcome two new arrivals, one next year (Royal<\/a>) and one in 2014.<\/p>\n

Yes, you can be sure they’ll have both piazza and pizza.<\/p>\n
