Having never watched one minute of one episode of Kate Plus 8,<\/em> nor any of its iterations, we’re completely on the fence about whether it’s a good idea for Royal Caribbean<\/a> to \"\"<\/a>promote a cruise with Kate Gosselin.<\/p>\n

Evidently, others are not.<\/p>\n

Here’s a sampling of headlines emanating from the buzz created by Royal Caribbean:<\/p>\n

Evidently, most fall on the negative side of the fence.<\/p>\n

For the record, the mother of eight made famous by television will be on Allure of the Seas<\/a> for the August 12 sailing, for a week. During that time, while the ship is stopping in Labadee, Falmouth<\/a> (Jamaica) and Cozumel,<\/a> Kate will be hosting a cocktail party, barbecue, brunch and charity dinner. She’ll be available for photo ops. Oh yes…and she’ll be signing copies of her almost-2-year-old book. No word as to how many of the 8 will be with her, but if you’re into child-sitting…<\/p>\n

The tab (excluding the book) starts at $1,900 for two people…a junior suite is $3,175. If you’re interested, Luxury Cruises and Tours<\/a> is the agent.<\/p>\n

This isn’t to say it’s a bad idea. It just seems like one.<\/p>\n
