<\/a>cruise, sailing the Norwegian Sky<\/a> to the Bahamas and back. When the cruise line people on the ship got wind of the occasion, they threw a party…and invited 2,000 of her closest friends (geographically speaking).<\/p>\nIt was a sail away party on the pool deck, and everybody was invited. A huge block of ice was carved into “100.” There was the inevitable cake and rendition of “Happy Birthday” and Mrs. Holtz even gave a short thank-you speech.<\/p>\n
She also said the right thing, that sailing the Sky was her best of many cruise experiences to date, so she obviously plans on being around for more.<\/p>\n
Now you can be cynical and say that NCL<\/a> capitalized on the moment and turned it into good public relations…or you can say it was just a nice story.<\/p>\n Take your pick.
