We spent 10 days in Newfoundland, attending Gareth’s godmother’s wedding (Frances was an attendant). A little lag time, but here are some shots from the trip. Gorgeous scenery, and the most generous people I’ve met in a long time. As I remarked to Frances, I’d live there, if it wasn’t at the ends of the earth.

I know, I know. Bad, thoughtless parent. This would be so much easier if someone would come up with a broadband internet solution of any kind in our area. In the meantime, it’s pathetic old dialup for us.

From the trip to Vancouver, Gareth visits the shrine of the Lone Ranger — which also happens to be in Greg Douglas’s spare room. Of the four who posed with the Lone Ranger and Tonto that day, I’d go with Gareth being the cutest. Of course, the other three are either (a) grey-haired or (b) bald, so it’s not a tough contest.

Just a quick note to show a digital pic out the front door of the house on Christmas morning. Breathtaking in more than one way when it’s that pretty — and cold (-18 C) — outside.
